Curriculum

At Plover Primary we are extremely proud of our creative and vibrant curriculum. We have recently adopted the Cornerstones curriculum, providing inspirational learning opportunities tailored to the needs and diversity of our community. Each interactive learning project offers children the opportunity to:

  • ENGAGE: first hand, memorable learning experiences where children have the chance to investigate and explore using all their senses.
  • DEVELOP: develop and research skills, knowledge and understanding
  • INNOVATE: apply skills, knowledge and understanding to a creative and inspirational challenge
  • EXPRESS: perform, share, evaluate and celebrate learning

A curriculum overview for school year 2017/2018 can be viewed using this link.

This gives a full insight into what topics each year group will be studying each term. Please also see individual class newsletters for a more in-depth view of your child's curriculum.

In 2016 new national curriculum tests (commonly called SATs) were introduced to reflect the revised national curriculum launched in 2014. Test results are no longer reported as levels, scaled scores are used to help calculate the new progress measures for schools.  Please click on the link below to view:
