School Dinners

All children in Foundation Stage 2, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a universal infant free school meal. This will be at no cost to parents.

Children in KS2 (Years 3,4,5 & 6) a school meal will cost £2.35 per day / £11.75 per week. We operate a cashless catering service and our parents are required to make payment using Parentpay, a secure online payment system. For those parents who are unable to pay online, we can also order a Paypoint card which allows cash payments to be made in local participating Paypoint stores.

if you think your family is eligible for free school meals you must apply on line, this link will direct you to the DMBC website to complete your application. We encourage all our families to apply even in our Reception and KS1 classes.

The Cook-in Charge and her staff prepare first class dinners and we will provide a menu in the school reception area weekly. If you have any concerns about food preparation or presentation please contact school and we will arrange a visit for you to see the excellent standards achieved.  We insist on good table manners and correct social behaviour in the dining hall.

Children must remain on their chosen meal choice, either to have a packed lunch from home or school dinner for at last a half term. As of September 2018 we will not allow changes between the two options.

From February 2019 we will be changing from a family service to a 'choice menu'. The menu works on a 3-week cycle and be viewed below.

Our school meals are provided by Doncaster Schools Catering Service. They offer an exciting choice of healthy, fresh food at excellent value.

All menus comply with current food and nutritional standards and continue to comply with the standards of Silver accreditation by the Soil Association. We recently achieved this accreditation for the third year running. Part of the criteria is that  ingredient spend on ethical and environmentally friendly food and locally sourced ingredients is taken into account, including the use of Organic, MSC, Fairtrade and Freedom Foods.

If children need to follow a special diet as recommended by a doctor, suitable arrangements can be made.
