School Meals

From September 2014 all children in Foundation Stage 2, Year 1 and Year 2 will be entitled to a universal infant free school meal. This will be at no cost to parents.

if you think your family is eligible for free school meals you must apply on line, this link will direct you to the DMBC website to complete your application.

The Cook-in Charge and her staff prepare first class dinners and we will provide a menu in the school reception area weekly. If you have any concerns about food preparation or presentation please contact school and we will arrange a visit for you to see the excellent standards achieved.  We insist on good table manners and correct social behaviour in the dining hall.

Dinners are currently £2.00 each. As of January 2017 we will be operating a cashless catering service and parents will be required to either make on-line payments using ParentPay or choose to use a PayPoint card to keep their child's meal account's up to date.

It is essential ParentPay accounts are kept in credit or this may result in your child not receiving a school meal.

Children have the option to bring in a packed lunch and to switch between a hot meal and packed lunch so long as we are made aware of this and that a payment has been made for a school dinner.

It is very important that children should be safe and secure at all times. At dinner time they should be with us or with you.  If you suspect that your child is spending his/her dinner money on other things please notify us in the daily diary.  We will contact you in the same way should we have cause for concern.

AS OF SEPTEMBER 2017, PLOVER PRIMARY SCHOOL IS ADOPTING A STRICT NO DEBT POLICY RELATING TO ALL MONIES DUE TO SCHOOL. PLEASE NOTE, AS ABOVE SCHOOL MEALS MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE.
